Diet is really not a good word – because it is about adopting good eating habits for long term results. Diet implies something that is temporary. Except for some of the younger folks, all of the slim people I know are careful about what they eat and many of them exercise. Based on my research, I find the information obtained from fitness models and bodybuilders to be quite good – because these people actually practice what they preach – and you can see the results or not. In my experience – I find cutting back an/or rotating good carbs in combination with reducing caloric intake, eating fruits and vegetables, eating good sources of protein, and doing exercise to be the most effective way to lose fat permanently. I recommend “Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle” for good read on nutrition and fitness.
You can not loss weight or can be slim by just thinking that you want to slim. You have to do some work.
Diet doesn’t always mean temporary. While “a diet” is what people go on temporarily, your diet is what consists of your overall food consumption. It can be used both ways.

I definitely agree with admin when stated that ‘diet’ is not really a short term thing. It should really be viewed as a lifestyle adjustment. Because the perfect diet is never temporary. Its eating well for life. All weight loss diets should be temporary.
And most people DO want a lean and sculpted body, but the great paradox is…..you have to properly fuel your body so that you will have adequate energy to exercise and truly start to BURN FAT.
